You can easily order books you see here via Amazon.com

If you'd like to buy any of the books I mention in my various web pages, you can click on them to go to Amazon.com's online bookstore. If you follow one of these links directly, I get a small cut of the order -- they do this to encourage people to link to them, and if you're interested in buying a book because you found out about it on one of my pages, I might as well make it easier for you. You certainly don't have to click on one of these links to buy any of the books -- you could just connect directly to their store, search for the book, and buy it that way. The only difference is whether or not Amazon knows it came from one of my pages. Whether or not they give me a cut, the price is the same to you.

(Actually, most of the books I ever mention tend to be special-order books or other books that aren't actually eligible for this program; you can order them through links here just like any other book, but I don't get anything at all out of it. But having these links be live still makes your ordering process quicker than if you had to find them by hand, so I might as well make your life easier.)

Amazon.com handles all of the mechanics of the order; I don't get any of your ordering info at all, and can't help you if you have problems -- that's Amazon's department. Everything you do after you click on one of those links is done on their site, not mine.

This setup is called being an "Amazon.com associate." If you're interested in doing this for your web pages, you can do the same thing; this is the application form.
